The ITEC Programme has the following components:
- Training (civilian and defence) in India of nominees from ITEC partner countries
- Projects and project related activities such as feasibility studies and consultancy services
- Deputation of Indian experts abroad
- Study Tours
- Gifting/Donation of equipment at the request of ITEC partner countries
- Aid for Disaster Relief.

ITEC Day 2012
ITEC Day was celebrated by High Commission of India in Georgetown, Guyana, on 16th October 2012. Hon. Samuel Hinds, Prime Minister of Guyana, and Hon. Jennifer Westford, Minister of Public Service graced the occasion with their presence. The event was graced by ITEC Alumni from Guyana.(Photographs to be posted)

EDUCATION EXCHANGE PROGRAMME
The existing Education Exchange Programme between India and Guyana provides for grant of scholarships, establishment of Chairs of Studies, Academic Exchanges and other arrangements in the field of education. The Agreement will be due for renewal in December 2013
COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME OF GOVERNMENT OF INDIA
Government of India has announced 9 (nine) scholarships for Guyana, and 5 (five) scholarships for Antigua and Barbuda under its Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme 2013-14. The number of scholarships offered to Guyana has been raised from 4 (four) in 2012-13 to 9 (nine) for the current academic session.
The scholarships are administered by Indian Council for Cultural Relations
Scholarships have been granted to Guyanese nationals in the fields of Hydrology, Engineering, Cyber Technology, Management, Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, Banking and Financial Services, Environment Protection, Public Management etc.
